Back to reality

So here I am needing to return to reality! The past two weeks have been a whirlwind of travel. I went to Seattle, the San Juan Islands, Canada (briefly) and Arches National Park near Moab Utah with my roommates Tracy and Sonya. I have never seen so many amazing things in such a short period of time. All we saw was absolutely beautiful. I also learned how little I know about geography, history and the like. I am not naturally very curious about the world around me. I am curious about people and what makes them tick but not things ya know?

This last week after all of the adventuring in the Pacific Northwest, I went to my final training for EDGE corps Navigator staff. My 2 year committment to EDGE corps is over but I am continuing on for at least another year. The summit was good but it was sad to say goodbye to people that I have had such sweet fellowship with over the years. I felt like I was with a group of fellow soldiers for the gospel and that we were sharing the stories of people who had gone to battle and come back victorious but not without scars. So some of the time was spent discussing those scars and some of the time we spent mending the wounds and some of the time we spent celebrating the victory and the God of the victory. It was really cool.

But now I am "back to real life". I need to fundraise almost 2000/month more this summer and I need to decide if I am going to live in Lincoln or Omaha. It will probably be Omaha since I haven't made any moves towards living in Lincoln and it is already summer.

Speaking of back to reality, one part of reality as I am calling it was getting to see my amazing boyfriend Phil. We got to spend most of the last 2 days together. A lot of it was with other people but it was so GOOD to see him. He is cool!

In other news though, I feel like I have forgotten how to function like a normal human being. Today when church was over I had NO idea what to do with free time. I have not had any free time in the last 2 weeks to choose how to spend my time. It has all been decided for me or at least partially by someone else. So naturally what do I do? Update my blog.
